What can I do with the MSB Mobile Service?

MSB Mobile gives you three ways to bank on your mobile device:

  1. Mobile website allows you to access accounts to check accounts, view detailed account activity, make transfers, pay bills, and more. 
  2. Text banking allows you to quickly request and receive basic account information, and move money between your eligible Mohave State Bank and Country Bank accounts via text message. 
  3. Apps provides the same features as your mobile browser, plus Mobile Deposit, easy menu navigation, and GPS-powered ATM/location information. 

How much does MSB Mobile cost?

There are no fees to use or access the mobile webpage, text banking, or our apps. Please check with your wireless provider about carrier and web access charges.

Is MSB Mobile secure?

Text banking is secure because:

  • You view accounts by nicknames you set, not account numbers 
  • No detailed personal information is sent 


The mobile website and apps are secure because:

  •  128-bit encryption masks your sensitive information 
  •  When you close your browser or the app, the session ends 


What should I do if I lose my device?

If your device is lost or stolen, contact your local branch to deactivate mobile banking access.

What are nicknames and how do I change mine?

You can nickname your accounts and will see the same account names from your desktop, phone or tablet. To nickname your accounts, select Change Options in the top, right-hand corner once you are signed on to mohavestbank.com.

How do I disable MSB Mobile?

You can disable your MSB Mobile Service by calling your local branch.

What are the text banking commands?

Text banking commands* are:

  •  BAL – for balance inquiry
  •  ATM + Street or zip – for ATM locations
  •  BRANCH + Street or zip – for Branch locations
  •  HIST + Account nickname – for Account history
  •  HELP – for Help
  •  STOP – to Cancel

Are text commands case-sensitive?

No, commands can be sent in lowercase (bal) or all capital letters (BAL).

How is text banking secure?

Text banking is secure because:

  •  You view accounts by nicknames you set, not account numbers
  •  No detailed personal information is sent
  •  Text banking won’t send unsolicited text messages

Will text banking work on my phone?

Text banking will work as long as your carrier supports text messaging. Check with your carrier for details about text messaging charges.

Does my mobile carrier support text banking?

Text banking is supported by the following carriers; AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless. If you have questions about other carriers or prepaid plans, please contact your local Personal Banker.


What should I do if I get a new phone or phone number?

If you have a new mobile number, visit Change Options>Manage Devices after logging into Online Banking to add a new device and update contact information.

How is the mobile website different from desktop website?

The mobile website is optimized to easily make transfers, pay your bills, find ATMs, and more from your device.

Do I need a username and password to access the mobile website?

Yes, sign on using your Online Banking username and password.

How is the mobile website secure?

The mobile website is secure because:

  •  128-bit encryption masks your sensitive information
  •  When you close your browser or the app the session ends


Can I pay bills on the mobile website?

Yes, you can set up your payees and pay bills from your device.

Can I make transfers to another Bank customer?

Yes, you can use Popmoney to make transfers to anyone, anywhere.

How are mobile apps different from our mobile website?

Our apps are made specifically for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. For a complete list of approved devices and operating systems, please contact your local Personal Banker. Apps use your device’s built-in capabilities to provide a better experience. Features include, one-touch access to sign on, easy menu navigation, and GPS-powered location information.

Is there an app for my device?

Yes, there are apps designed specifically for use for your device. Download the MSB Mobile app for iPhone or iPad from the App Store and use the Google Play Store for Android smartphones and tablets.

How is the MSB Mobile app secure?

Does my device support MSB Mobile app?

How do I know that I am downloading a legitimate app?

To ensure the safety of your personal and account information, download apps from reputable sources only. When downloading the MSB Mobile app for your mobile device, ensure that Mohave State Bank is listed as the app publisher or seller. Who’s eligible to use Mobile Deposit?

Mohave State Bank and Country Bank Personal Online and  Business Online customers who maintain an eligible checking or savings account, and who have accepted the Mobile Deposit Terms and Conditions are eligible to use Mobile Deposit.

How do I get Mobile Deposit?

Mobile Deposit is a feature on the MSB Mobile Banking App. The App is available to download from the Apple App Store, Android Play Store or the Amazon App Store and supported on iPhones, iPads and Android mobile devices. 

How do I endorse checks when using Mobile Deposit?

Checks should be endorsed with “MSB Mobile Deposit Only” along with the payee’s signature.

Is there any limit to the dollar amount that I can deposit?

Each check is considered a separate deposit. You can make multiple deposits in a single mobile session. There is no limit to the number of checks you can deposit in a day. However, there are deposit limits for each eligible account. The standard check deposit limit is $1,500 per check and the standard total daily deposit limit is $3,000.

What types of checks can I deposit?

You can deposit checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn on any U.S. bank, including personal, business, and government checks. They must also be payable to and endorsed by the account holder.

International checks, U.S. savings bonds, U.S. postal money orders, remotely created checks (whether in paper form or electronically created), convenience checks (checks drawn against a line of credit), and cash are not eligible for Mobile Deposit.

What are the cut-off times for deposits made with Mobile Deposit and when will the funds be available?

Checks deposited via Mobile Deposit by the 6:00 p.m. EST deadline will be considered deposited on that business day and subject to the Funds Availability disclosure provided during account opening. Otherwise, the deposit will process the following business day. Funds deposited using Mobile Deposit will generally be made available on the first business day after the day of deposit, but may take up to 48 hours to post to your account. If a deposit is held (or a hold is applied), funds are posted to your account but are not immediately available to cover debits or withdrawals. Common reasons include:

  •  Large deposit amount
  •  Frequent overdrafts
  •  Deposited check returned unpaid
  •  Indications a deposited check may not be paid

If a hold will be applied to any portion of your deposit, you will receive notification from a Customer Service Representative. You’ll know that your deposit is available when the amount appears in the available balance of the account you selected.

How will I know if there’s a problem with my Mobile Deposit after I submit it?

If a problem arises with your deposit, such as a returned check, we will contact you by phone and/or send written notification to your primary address by U.S. mail.

What should I do with my paper check after using Mobile Deposit?

After depositing your check using Mobile Deposit, please follow these best practice guidelines:

  1. Write “Electronically Presented” or “VOID” on the front of your check.
  2. Securely store your check for 60 days after your deposit, and then destroy it. This allows sufficient time in case the original check is required for any reason.


Are there fees for using Mobile Deposit?

There are no fees for Mobile Deposit. Please check with your wireless provider about standard messaging and data rates.

Is Mobile Deposit secure?

We use advanced encryption and security technology:

  •  Mohave State Bank Online credentials are not stored on your mobile device.
  •  Check images are not stored on your mobile device.
  •  You view accounts by nicknames you can define, not by account numbers.
  •  128-bit encryption masks your sensitive information.


For added security, always sign off completely when you finish using the MSB Mobile app by selecting Log Out.
