Protecting and Educating Yuma

(Yuma, AZ) In an effort to protect and educate Yuma County on the perils of identity theft, Mohave State Bank hosted an Identity Theft Protection Seminar and Community Shred Day on Friday, March 6th.

Kristine Novinskie, Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist (“CITRMS”), taught participants how to protect against the 5 types of identity theft (Financial Identity Theft Identity Theft, Driver’s License Identity Theft, Employment Identity Theft, Medical Identity Theft and Character/Criminal Identity Theft). Many who attended expressed their appreciation.

D. Lopez said, “I just wanted to thank you for hosting a Seminar on a great subject. WOW is all I can say! I came straight back to the office, made copies of her Prevention Tips and went through what I learned with my staff at the afternoon huddle.”

The event also included onsite shredding by Desert Document Shredders. Individuals and companies had the opportunity to bring up to 50 pounds to be shredded at no cost.
