Yuma- Mohave State Bank and other community organizations participated in the International Geographic Information System (GIS) day event at Cibola High School. It is estimated this year’s event reached 2,000 teens.
The event sponsor, ESRI Software Company, said that GIS allows people to “visualize, question, analyze, and interpret data to understand relationships, patterns, and trends. GIS benefits organizations of all sizes and in almost every industry. There is a growing interest in and awareness of the economic and strategic value of GIS.”
Mohave State Bank’s Brian Geren and Jeff Byrd presented on establishing a good credit history, FICO score, and protecting against identity theft.
