Serving Our Communities...

From March of Dimes to Community Food Banks, Bankers at Mohave State Bank passionately volunteer hundreds of hours to non-profit organizations within our immediate communities.

Salvation Army: Major Larry J. Feist and Captain Julie Feist from the Salvation Army presented Mohave State Bank a plaque in thanks and acknowledgment for hundreds of hours volunteered during the non-profit organization’s busy holiday season. Brian Riley, President and CEO, proudly accepted the plaque on behalf of the Bank’s many volunteers.

Lake Havasu Area Literacy Council: Sharon Martinez and Amy Whitson held their first in-branch fundraiser for Lake Havasu Area Literacy Council with a Bake Sale. Sharon Martinez, Assistant Vice President and Controller, has volunteered for the Council for three years and currently serves as Treasurer. Amy Whitson, IT Officer, initially volunteered as a tutor five years ago, then served as Treasurer for two years and now serves on the Board.

March of Dimes: For many years, Mohave State Bank has traditionally supported March of Dimes. Monica Moffit, Loan Operations Manager, led her community and branch in a goal to double what was raised last year. Monica easily surpassed her goal by raising over $900 with what has become an annual Bake Sale and “Blue Jeans Days” for bank staff.

Yuma Community Food Bank: On Friday, April 5, Bankers in Yuma will host a complimentary Shred Day and ID Theft Prevention Event. In addition to offering shredding services and an educational video, Bankers will also leverage the event to benefit their local community by holding a Chili Cookoff. Six Cookoff teams will compete for an award and lunch will be served for a $5 donation with proceeds benefiting the Yuma Community Food Bank.
